Dead show/podcast for 4/25/08

This week we'll hear the second set of this beautiful audience recording of the Dead at the Frost, 10/10/82. This set starts off with a beautiful Playin, then Jerry really tears up Crazy Fingers. I'm also quite partial to the NFA->Black Peter. The fact that they do a double encore is an indication, I think, that they were happy with their performance as well....

Grateful Dead Frost Amphitheatre - Stanford University Palo Alto, CA 10/10/82 - Sunday

Playing In The Band > Crazy Fingers > Lost Sailor > Saint Of Circumstance > Touch Of Grey > Drums > Space > The Wheel > Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away > Black Peter > Sugar Magnolia
Encore (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction [6:12] > It's All Over Now, Baby Blue

This is one of those amazing shows where every note is played with enthusiasm and everyone is listening to each other. Truely a great night. It is wonderful to hear Jerry being so into the music.

Professor - Having been listening to many crystal clear 72s and 73s lately, I was dubious about an 82 Aud. I was wrong. This is a wonderful show and has amazing sound. Better than many/most SBDs for the feel. Thank You.

So.... is it 86 or 82? Last week's says 10/10/82 ... this says 10/10/86. Thanks!

Never mind... I see where '82 is repeated again later in the post.

I was at this show, and out of 100+ shows it was one of the very best. The tape too has been in my regular rotation lo these many years. Thanks for this one!

  7. I just heard the opening strains to "Satisfaction" and I thought, "No, it can't be!"

BUT IT IS! I have a seven-foot-tall poster of Mick Jagger in bedroom...not to mention all the Dead paraphernalia. It's wonderful to hear the band do a Stones cover.

Love your show, and I now have several complete concerts on my mp3 player. Thanks! I will be making a donation when I have the funds...
