ReplyDeletedelete everything after .mp3 in the url and it will play
ReplyDeleteStill no luck with it here.
ReplyDeleteHey again Prof,
ReplyDeleteNo matter how many times I have either clicked on your link for this week's podcast either to listen or right-click to download, I've consistently gotten the same 404 error you mention. You'll notice that in all the other links to previous shows, you had the link connected simply to the word "here", and not the actual URL. Is there not any way that you are able to do that for this week's show? That would probably solve my (and others') problem very easily.
Thanks for your response(s),
Paul
The problem is that blogger.com removed the tool that made it easy for me to insert that link on the 'here'. I've tried to do it manually. I personally have had no problems getting the file - either click the title of the posting or the link itself, but I'm sorry you've had problems. You can also get the show from itunes or from this address:

Success!
ReplyDeleteThank you for a real good podcast.
I was at this weeks show in 1981...it was squeezed in that tour as a favor to local promoter to get Stabler Arena on the map. Zappa open the place earlier in the year and the Dead squeezed in shows from Philly to next stop...sales went on less than a Month before date that last minute...note on beginning of how when the mics weren't working right....Whole place knew it was wrong as this was 5500+ show thats all. When Bob sings when they finally get it right you just feel how the place went nuts.
ReplyDeleteGreat show please play second set next week as the band got better as the show came around...thnaks professor
So, I clicked on the link that the Professor provided below at 5:19pm (http://deadshow.libsyn.com/dead-show-podcast-for-10-8-10), which took me to another web page, which kind of resembled a normal weekly Deadpod page. I clicked on the link there, which took me to this: http://traffic.libsyn.com/deadshow/deadpod100810.mp3%20. But, this wouldn't run. So, I removed the "%20" from the end of the URL (leaving .mp3 as the ending to the URL), and it ran! I was so happy, because I don't want to miss a single one of these babies!
ReplyDeleteNow, how can I save this one? Suggestions, Professor? Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I right-clicked on the "here" link, instead of the longer link, and download is in progress? Not sure whether I simply missed that option the first time around (silly me); or, if I had tried that already, and the professor maybe fixed it? Just in case, many thanks, Professor!
ReplyDeleteGreat set! Among other things, I really enjoyed Passenger. I'm extremely partial to that song as it is, but I really appreciated Brent's lyrics replacing Donna's...not that you can go wrong either way.
