Dead Show/podcast for 3/25/11

This week's Deadpod features a hybrid show of sorts... first off, a great Jerry Band show requested by one of my wonderful listeners - this one comes to us from May 30th, 1981 from the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma CA. Unfortunately I could only acquire part of this wonderful performance but decided I needed to play it, warts and all.. I think it really shines.. I only wish we had the Dear Prudence which I am told was quite magical... As it is I'm pretty smitten with the Mission, and the Melody..

Secondly is a piece of music I've been wondering how I was going to get on the Deadpod for some time now.. this is from 'Go Ahead' - the side project started by Brent Mydland and Bill Kruetzman while Jerry was recovering from his coma in 1986...
this happens to be a truly fabulous Brent performance..
