This week we get to listen to the second set from this fine show that took place at the Greek back in 1984. I think you'll find that while the Help->Slip->Frank isn't remarkable, the Estimated->Eyes->Drumz is more than worthwhile. I also really like Jerry's work in Truckin', and the Wharf Rat is a keeper for sure.

WOW!!! Another gem here!!! I can't believe you haven't heard more on this show. Start to finish, it's all good. llllllllllllll The 'eyes' and 'wharf rat' are about as good as they can be!!! Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteGreat set. It starts off with a Help > Slip > Frank that moves along at a breakneck pace; and, while I would prefer it to be slowed down a bit so that I could savor the songs a bit longer, the playing was good and it was a nice change of pace. I very much prefer a faster version like this to the agonizingly slow version you shared with us a couple weeks earlier (a '77 show). Anyway, although played quickly, the rest of the set sounded great, too. Enjoyed Drums > Space, and the transition to Truckin' was cool. Bob seemed a tad out of breath for OMSN, which was fun...probably from singing so quickly! Liked hearing Day Job for now the second time: it was also in a show you played a few weeks earlier...guess it was a mid '80's thing?
