Dead show/podcast for 2/3/12

This week's Deadpod comes from another great request - this for a show that while widely traded back in the day, often had less than stellar sound. I think this copy is quite good however and am happy to be able to share with you this fantastic show from 1976. Both sets are very well played, and I enjoy the sound of Phil throughout.. Jerry's vocals are also spot on, especially in the second set as you'll see next week. Originally broadcast on KSAN, but this remix really moderates most of the disagreeable aspects of earlier versions.
Hope you enjoy it..

    Professor,

I enjoy the shows on your podcast way way too often without saying thank you! This a great set with a beautiful jam at the end of Scarlet Begonias. Thank you for making my Friday that much more enjoyable. A Big Thank You for all the recent shows especially the Legion of Mary show a few weeks ago.

Man-O-man when I listen to the '68 shows it makes me wish I would have been born a little earlier than 1961. Or even though I would have been seven years old, my parents attended many of the Philmore/ Avalon / L. Shoremans shows, they could have brought me along to at least a few of those classic psychedelic shows, I would have memories of them today. I certainly remember when those cool little hand bills would come in the mailbox, I would snatch those up show to my mom and dad then hang them on my bedroom wall. Oh where are they now, why didn't I hang on to those? Anyhow thanks again Professor, love your show as always.

  5. What a great show. Yet again, The Professor finds the gold!

Taken at a slower pace, the songs are lovely.

What a great way to end a (for me) working week, but listening to this fine show.

    Thanks Professor
