yes the Deadpod is coming to you a day early in the spirit of the season.. Hoping that this finds you and yours healthy and happy today and sharing some acoustic Jerry to make your day, and weekend a little brighter. This is a BIG package under your tree (or in your ipod :) as I decided one show was just not enough to thank you all for another great year here on this bright blue ball.. First off, one of the great Jerry Garcia Acoustic Band shows from the legendary run at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater in New York City, October 21st 1987. This is the early show - amazing energy and performance from these guys. The lineup featured David Kemper on drums, John Kahn of course on bass, Sandy Rothman on mandolin, dobro, banjo and vocals and the great David Nelson on guitar and vocals.

I couldn't leave it there - I always enjoy hearing the great music Jerry produced in his later years with David Grisman. As I was looking for something to include from that collaboration I came upon this famous show which I don't believe I've featured before on the Deadpod. I couldn't cut anything out so I just included it all.
