This week the Deadpod moves twenty years in the future from last week's set, this one which took place on March 5, 1992 at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton Virginia. The first set, short as was the norm during this period of the band's existence, opens with a fine 'Help>Slip>Frank'. The boys sound energetic and Jerry plays some fine licks here, especially during the 'Slipknot'. A long bluesy 'The Same Thing' follows then a sweet 'Jack-A-Roe'. Phil delivers a great 'Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues' and Bobby closes the set with a strong 'Let It Grow'

Just tuned into your 3/17 podcast. A few comments after listening to your intro.
I never got to see Hornsby with the Dead but when I saw him in a post-Dead solo show we laughed when he said it was nice to play and not have to do what Weir told him to do.
I’ve been lucky enough to see Phil many times with many iterations of “and Friends” including last Wednesday at the Cap on his birthday. I shared the excitement of the dad in front of me when his daughter accurately predicted Help on the Way as the opener, just like this week’s podcast. Franklin’s Tower came later in the show and was as good a version as I’ve ever heard with each of the horn player/vocalists taking a separate verse.
I considered their version of Long Time Gone with James Casey on lead vocal a beautiful tribute to David Crosby.
I’ve also been fortunate to see Phil play with Warren Haynes several times, including around 20 years and again last summer with the Molo, Herring, Barraco lineup - magical stuff.
