This week we will continue our tour of summer time stadium Dead shows with a fine show from one of the high-water marks of latter day Dead- the summer of 1990.
My understanding is that it was raining hard most of this show but that did not stop the band, and Phil in particular, from smoking up the place with a great show. A nice 'Good Times' opens things up, but the band really gets going on a strong 'Bertha'. Brett shines as always on a great 'Just A Little Light' my favorite of his songs. Hard to believe its been 33 years since we lost him :(
Other highlights include a fine 'Stagger Lee' and a great 'Cassidy' - listen to the interplay here between Garcia and Lesh. Jerry really shines on 'Tennesse Jed' and the band puts together a fine 'Music Never Stopped' to head into the break..
