Dead Show/podcast for 7/30/10

This week we really hit the climax of this show from July 18th, 1972 - the Dark Star ->Comes a Time.. this is fabulous stuff, in my opinion.. and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I've read that Dylan was backstage at this show and that it was the first time he met Garcia - who knows ;) at any rate the group consciousness is clearly evident here and flows from the Star and Comes a Time into that rare 3rd set...

Grateful Dead - July 18, 1972
Roosevelt Stadium - Jersey City, NJ
Dark Star ->
Comes A Time
Sugar Magnolia

Ramble On Rose
Greatest Story Ever Told
Mississippi Half-Step Uptown Toodeloo ->
Sing Me Back Home
Not Fade Away ->
Goin' Down The Road Feeling Bad ->
Not Fade Away

(the One More Saturday Night encore is missing from the tape)

You can listen to this week's Deadpod here:

Thanks for your support my friends..

Just a depressing choice to commemorate a depressing occasion. IMO, shoulda picked a joyful time in Garcia's career to celebrate his creative brilliance -- instead of playing this show when he was all-but-already dead.

Just a depressing choice for a depressing occasion. IMO, you shoulda picked a performance from a time when Garcia was joyful and still brilliantly creative -- instead of this show from the time when he was all but already dead,
