Deadshow/podcast for 5/25/12

I know my prejudices are fairly obvious - do I love 1977 Dead shows? Guilty.. I can't seem to go through the month of May without featuring one of these gems and I decided I didn't want to spoil that record this year.. thus this week's show. This is a gem, pure and simple. Beautiful recording, beautiful playing. Check out Jerry on Sugaree, and Donna on Sunrise. Passenger, one of my favorites of this era is a swirling whirlwind of color and sound.. Jack-A-Roe is pretty.. enjoy this.. have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and I hope this music helps lubricate it all..

Prof - With today my birthday, I was going to write and ask for a great show around 5/25... and woke up and there it was (with the bonus of a show from my home state of Maryland!). Thanks for the present Professor!

LOVE '77 and couldn't agree more about hearing an excellent '77 in the month of May.

Wow, Professor, just Wow! The Dead 1977 just never ceases to amaze and please. Thanks so much for bringing this to us. Much needed in these troubled times. 12/29 was my 1st, so '77 is always a trip home. Thanks !again

I see I have been listening to deadpods for 4 years, and though I'm not keen on all that comparison stuff... I have to agree with the professor - this week's show is a joy throughout - The audio quality is exceptional and highlights Bob's unique rhythm work -well that's just what stands out on THIS listen through - as ever - so much happening - and so perceptible in this recording.
Thanks so much for putting it out.

Wow! What a great show! The sound quality is amazing here, and not only is everyone playing and singing so darn well, but in this mix each is heard so well and so equally. Whenever The Professor says "The band is really listening to each other," I KNOW that we're all in for a big treat! So grateful!
