This week's Deadpod is a bit unusual, as I decided to bring you an audience recording of a show that took place 33 years ago on the banks of the Mississippi River... at the Mississippi River Festival across the river from St. Louis in Edwardsville, Illinois. While I wasn't at this show, I've heard many reports from friends over the years that this was a complete *blast*, probably due, at least partially, to the fact that there was supposedly an absolute deluge of a storm going on especially in the second set.. As I listened to this first set I thought it was obvious that the band was having a good time... I also thought that the recording while not pristine, was worth listening to so I decided to feature it this week... I'll play set 2 next week unless enough of you object to the audience source (unfortunately that's all that is available of this one.. )

Smokin! Love it.
No objection here. Thanks!
Its a really nice tape despite the audience recording. Thanks so much, can't wait to hear the second set.
This is a super fun show. I can't wait to hear set two.

Great set! The boys sounded wonderful, and it seems as if everyone was having a ton of fun! I like an audience tape every once in a while, just so I can feel as if I were there participating; and, this recording is high-quality thus far...
