Dead Show/podcast for 9/6/13

I realize not everyone is a fan of this lineup of the Grateful Dead. Some people really don't enjoy Hornsby's contributions to the band, and you certainly will hear them in this second set from September 4th, 1991. I happen to think this is one of the best Scarlet->Fires of the 90's. I can't say that it is Hornsby's contributions that make it so but I think its undeniable that he did spark something in Garcia that was often lacking in his later years. Listen for the Phil bomb during the transition as well......This set is distinguished as well by a very fine space and of course, by the appearance of a 'China Doll'.. always a wonderful treat. I think the boys really put their all into this one... I hope you enjoy it..

My first show. It always held that special place in my heart because of that, but having The Professor say good things about it just makes it that much sweeter.

What a treat to hear the show that occurred on my 18th birthday! Wish I'd been there, as this was a good one.
