Dead show/podcast for 5/30/08

This week the conclusion of Bruce Hornsby's first show as a member of the band, 9/15/90 at Madison Square Garden. I think you'll especially enjoy the first half of this set which I find exceptionally well-played and tight throughout. You'll also want to listen to the only post-Brent 'Gimme Some Lovin' with Hornsby - very tasty stuff. The crowd really feeds the band on this one and its obvious throughout.

Grateful Dead Madison Square Garden New York , NY 9/15/90 - Saturday
Two The Weight ; Playing In The Band > Crazy Fingers > Uncle John's Band >Drums > Space > Gimme Some Lovin' > All Along The Watchtower > Stella Blue > Throwing Stones > Not Fade Away

This is a great start to what I consider a great era for the dead. Bruce seemed to tighten everyone up and the music created was some of the best. Thanks for this time period, for some of us younger deadheads, this was when we saw shows, stadium era. Perhaps any early fall 93 Richfield? I know those great Audience tapes just popped up...
