I just wanted to let you know that I have been goin' down the road and feelin' bad for several weeks as I got laid off from my job after 17 years of loyal service. And one thing that is pulling me trough all of this is the Dead podcasts - I am sure to be goin' where the water tastes like wine soon! Great show this week!

Tom -
thanks for the kind words - best wishes to you - I can imaging how much that sucks and how many other folks are going through it right now breaks my heart.

Have you ever played the June 22, 1991 show? That was the day that I was born and I've always wanted to hear it.
I listen to some of the older shows that you've posted pretty much daily, even if I can only listen for a few minutes. Thank you so much for such an easy way to listen to complete Dead Shows on the bus home from school.
Though I have for a number of years been listening and downloading podcasts, I have never communicated my thanks for all you do to remind us that there's "nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile." With 35 years of Dead culture under my belt it is still easy go down the road feelin' bad. May all your health issues be under control and may your holiday season be the best.

Hi Tom I too have been laid off. I am in banking and I've actually been laid off twice this year due to the banking crisis. Things will get better
My favorite to get me through is the 3 set RFK Deadpod from 6/10/73. These were put up by the professor in February 2008. Members of the Alman Bros Band join in.
Right now I am streaming the show from 4/11/87 in Chicago. I found it on the internet for free. There is an absolutely shocking Sugaree. The third guitar solo will take you places
Dear Professor,
Did the Dead ever do any live versions of 'Money, Money" - I know the lyrics are rather sexist, but it's a tight little rock n roll song and would love to hear how it sounded live...
Deadpod makes my Fridays!

Ah wrong again - they did do Money Money - three times... all during '74
5/17/74
5/19/74
and 5/21/74
-always worth seeking out those 74 boards :)
