Dead Show/podcast for 12/20/13

This week is time for the annual acoustic show! Yes with Christmas coming right up I decided that it was time to bring out some fine acoustic Jerry for your holiday enjoyment and so we're  featuring one of the great acoustic shows he did with John Kahn back in 1982.. This one comes from the Warner theater in Washington D.C. on June 26th, 1982. It has a rich fine tone to it and I really love hearing the "pure" Jerry sound on these classic tunes.

Jerry Garcia and John Kahn
06-26-1982 - late show
Warner Theater
Washington, DC
Late show (complete):

It Takes A Lot To Laugh It Takes A Train To Cry
Friend Of The Devil
Deep Elem Blues
To Lay Me Down
Bird Song
Run For The Roses
Oh Babe It Ain't No Lie

Rubin And Cherise

You can listen to this week's Deadpod here:

Thank you SO MUCH for your support of the Deadpod.. I could not do the show without it!

I wish you all a VERY Merry Christmas should you celebrate it.. peace and health to you and yours!

I do want to apologize for repeating a show last week that I had previously published, 12/11/79, since that second set is still available here I did not want to publish it again this week..

What a wonderful set. I simply adore the acoustic stuff. Although I enjoyed every note, I found the interplay between Jerry and John on Bird Song to be quite nice.

Happy belated holidays, all!
