Dead Show/podcast for 06/01/07

This week's Deadpod features a wonderful show from May of 1970.. While recordings from this great year of performances are much too rare we have the good fortune of listening to both the first acoustic set and part of the third, electric set. I just love listening to this primal, energetic, engaging Dead.. I hope you do as well..

Wow, the DAY BEFORE HARPUR COLLEGE? Muchos gracias. This is amazing, searing stuff. Nary a false step. And I always love a New Speedway Boogie.

I always thought the Harper's College show was the best from this year, but the acoustic set from this day is a sweet sound. Good pick.

Loved both sets. I love early Speedways and Other Ones, and you cannot beat Pig on Hard To Handles and Lovelights. Some great, hard jamming from Jerry throughout. Thanks, Professor!
