I've had a request for this show for almost a year and for one reason or another never got around to playing it.. but some recent requests for Pigpen and a stroke of good fortune caused me not to overlook it any longer.. This piece of primal Dead has some wonderful versions of some classic early songs; I particularly like the Pigpen numbers and 'Sittin On Top of the World'.. 'Doin' That Rag' is always a favorite of mine as well.

A big thanks for the April '69, which is probably my favorite month of that excellent year and every bit the rival of the Fillmore West run, in my opinion.
I had the pleasure of seeing RatDog in Baltimore the other night, and that band just has so much to offer. Any chace of hearing any RatDog sets that have struck you recently?
Dear Professor, thanks for publishing this wonderful show. Nice to know that Doin' That Rag is someone elses favourite too.
All the best wishes sent to you from germany by olaf (who can hardly await the next podcast)
