Thank you for all that you do.
Good stuff. Love the St. Stephen! I know picking a best version is hard or foolish, but does anyone have a recommendation for a jammin' version for me to enjoy this weekend?
Thanks alot for posting these ive really been enjoying them
Great set list. As for the St. Stephen, my personal favorite is 2/18/1971 Capitol Theatre. Nothing like the early energy the boys had.
Professor: Thank you again for the wonderful music. I have a request: would you consider playing more Betty Boards. They just have a wonderful sound to me.
THANKS!!
Wonderful set, especially like to hear St.Stephens, can't ever get enough of that. Speaking of St.Stephens, I used to have a bootleg with one of the best versions I've ever hear. It ends with a St.Stephens then into Not Fade Away back into St.Stephens. If anyone can remember what show that was I would appreciate it. thanks for the shows.
Wow --- I listened to this on the way to work this morning, and the Saint Stephen had me dancing on the Metro.
Great Set!!
St. Stephen > NFA > St. Stephen is 5/8/77 (Cornell)
Great Set, I really enjoyed this one. Anyway to get a nice Stella in sometime soon? It always seems very fitting to me during this time of year.
Thanks Professor
Rock ON
This one had a Stella in it brother man. Holidays means acoustic dead!!!!!
The Deal,
St. Stephen > Not Fade Away > St. Stephen was played ten times according to DeadBase, so it might not necessarily have been the Cornell show, but that's a likely candidate given how widely traded it is.
Wow, this was good, thanks! Especially the end, starting with Around and Around and One More Saturday, had me grinning and dancing like a fool.
Great shows, John.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
Randy
Thank you. I was at this show, or if not exactly this one, of of the others that week at the Auditorium Theater. I've just discovered your podcasts, too. Great stuff.
Another stellar set...what a neat take on St. Stephen! This era seems to have produced some rather unique versions of classic songs. Many thanks for serving up this gem, Professor!
