This week we're lucky enough to have a show that was previously unreleased and unknown from 1971. While '71 might not be "primal" Dead, it certainly shows us relatively a relatively 'raw' and power-packed lineup. I really enjoy this set and think you will too -
Grateful Dead - August 4, 1971
Terminal Island Correctional Facility - San Pedro, CA
Truckin', Yellow Dog Story, Bertha, Me And Bobby McGee
Hard To Handle, China Cat Sunflower ->I Know You Rider, Loser
Playing In The Band, Next Time You See Me, Me And My Uncle, Casey Jones

As we head into Thanksgiving - let me express how grateful I am to have such wonderful listeners as you! Thanks for picking us up - Enjoy..

Yay early Dead! Happy Thanksgiving!
Holy Smoke! Phil's bass on Hard to Handle is INSANE.
My The Deadhead’s Taping Compendium Does not mention this show but instead has the boys at the Hollywood Palladium in LA the next two nights. Just down the road a peace. What a treat! Thanks. Professor.
Wow, what a show.
Thanks for all your work, Professor. I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving!

Epic
What a trippy venue! The boys generally took the path less traveled, and this was no different. Those in attendance were treated to a VERY good show.
