This week's Deadpod features a show that I've always enjoyed, although the recordings that were previously available of it were all flawed in various ways (off pitch, and Jerry was always low in the mix).. this new release from Charlie Miller fixes many of these problems and I think you'll really enjoy the energy the band shows throughout the show....

I just found out that my good friend - Brian Heath - "the Captain" lost his battle with cancer this week.. Brian knew more about the Dead than I ever will and I'll always remember his kind heart and his big smile.. Sleep in the stars my brother...

Our condolences Professor. We have to simply enjoy the time we have here - thanks to you for spreading a little bit of joy around.
So sorry for you loss...I really love your podcasts...
So sorry to hear about the Captain. Wonderful show today, and loved the ending: a lovely tribute to your friend.

Three Cheers for the Captain! RIP
I can't wait for the second set...I've been listening to this set on my ipod all week...the sound sculpture of the captain at the end of this podcast is amazing...may he rest in peace...
I'm sorry for your loss.
I was saddened to hear of The Captain's passing. Having been such a scholar of the band, he must've been a very good egg, indeed.
This was a great show from a year that you don't seem to feature as much. I was glad to add it to my collection.
