Dead Show/podcast for 6/10/11

This week we get to listen to the second set from this fine show that took place at the Greek back in 1984. I think you'll find that while the Help->Slip->Frank isn't remarkable, the Estimated->Eyes->Drumz is more than worthwhile. I also really like Jerry's work in Truckin', and the Wharf Rat is a keeper for sure.

Great set. It starts off with a Help > Slip > Frank that moves along at a breakneck pace; and, while I would prefer it to be slowed down a bit so that I could savor the songs a bit longer, the playing was good and it was a nice change of pace. I very much prefer a faster version like this to the agonizingly slow version you shared with us a couple weeks earlier (a '77 show). Anyway, although played quickly, the rest of the set sounded great, too. Enjoyed Drums > Space, and the transition to Truckin' was cool. Bob seemed a tad out of breath for OMSN, which was fun...probably from singing so quickly! Liked hearing Day Job for now the second time: it was also in a show you played a few weeks earlier...guess it was a mid '80's thing?
