Dead Show/podcast for 7/1/16

Happy 4th of July weekend!
While this week's Deadpod didn't take place on the 4th, or feature a U.S. Blues, I do think there are plenty of fireworks right here to entertain you during this long holiday weekend! As usual for a '73 show, there are a number of tunes in this second set that you'd expect to see in a first set - alongside some wonderful exploratory jams. While this isn't a perfect recording.. I think it more than packs a punch and hope you will enjoy it as much as I do! I would especially recommend the tremendous 'Here Comes Sunshine' and the truly epic 'Other One' that follows a typically wonderful 'Me & Bobby McGee'...

Still not done with this set, but felt compelled to add some comments now...

What a show! 15 songs in the 1st set, 17 in the 2nd set, for a total of 32 songs! And, they're playing so darn well. I love the faster, bouncier versions of They Love Each Other.

Scratch that... Only 16 songs in the second set: I counted to word "Encore" as a song. =) So, 16 in the 2nd, for a total of 31. Still not too shabby!
